In collaboration with FES and in light of increasing rule of law issues in EU member states, IEP is developing a policy brief that evaluates existing instruments, identifies complementary approaches and recommends new courses of action in the context of the Zeitenwende.

RESILIO – Resilience observatory on the rule of law in Europe

Future of European Integration

Why are some democracies in the EU more resilient to the regressing rule of law than others? IEP will assess the resilience of all 27 member states using a systematic analytical framework in order to deliver counterstrategies to the regression of the rule of law.

RESILIO-ACCESS: Resilience Observatory on the Rule of Law in EU Accession Candidates

How resilient is the rule of law in the EU enlargement countries? RESILIO-ACCESS uses an interdisciplinary approach to answer this question and identifies how EU enlargement policy can contribute to resilient democratic structures in the region.
