Germany and Europe

The Spinelli Forum aims to strengthen relations between Italy and Germany in the long term. Young leaders from both countries jointly develop recommendations for action to address current European challenges.

The IEP Annual Conference offers a space to promote the exchange between academics and practitioners and to discuss scientific analyses of the EU in a practice-oriented way.

The IEP's Europe Talks bring together citizens, decision-makers, academics and civil society to discuss challenges and perspectives on European integration. In this way, they promote the debate on European policy in Germany.

Based on a long-standing need for discussion between Germany and the Baltic and Nordic EU member states, the German-Nordic-Baltic Forum has been offering experts from the countries in the region the opportunity to exchange views on current issues since 2008.

The IEP Policy Brief series Berlin Perspectives presents precise analyses on Germany’s European policy to an English-speaking audience. The authors analyse German European policy positions on current topics and debates to provide policy recommendations based on their findings.

Representatives from politics, science, media and civil society develop recommendations for German European policy in the light of possible future European and international developments.

Germany in the EU: The Handbuch on Germany’s European Policy allows in-depth insights into Germany’s interdependences with the EU and highlights the influence Germany has on European integration and decision-making processes.

Citizens talk to experts and politicians in independent, objective and open-ended discussions. The goal is to participate in the European project and to critically and constructively participate in the current discourse.
