The main objective of the RESILIO project is to identify the conditions for the resilience of the rule of law in all 27 European member states.
The country analyses capture the current status quo of rule of law resilience in the individual EU member states and assess the causes of rule of law resilience. They also identify potential best practices for strengthening the resilience of the rule of law that could be transferred or adapted to other countries.
The country analyses identify the most important factors from the RESILIO model for each country in each of the three dimensions. Empirical examples illustrate the country-specific significance of the selected resilience factors and explain the prerequisites for a strengthened rule of law.
The aim is to raise awareness of the challenges faced by EU Member States with regard to rule of law resilience and to utilise the potential for strengthening the rule of law across the EU through the exchange of know-how or the transfer of best practices.
Although the country reports written by experts were designed as separate analyses, the entirety of the country reports is intended to form a coherent compilation that provides a holistic view of the resilience of the rule of law in the European Union.
