Germany votes, Europe counts!

Germany's foreign policy

Julian Plottka from IEP Berlin explains: ‘Germany is economically strong, but it is not a global player on its own. It can only exert geopolitical influence together with the EU. Whoever governs in Berlin helps determine the course Germany takes in Brussels. The Russian war of aggression shows that an effective EU foreign policy is essential. The 2025 Bundestag elections will decide whether Germany stands up for a strong European voice.

The non-partisan Europa-Union Deutschland, the IEP Berlin, the European Federalists and the Federal Network for Civic Engagement shed light on the European implications of the election and show why your vote counts not only for Germany, but also for Europe.
Every vote for a democratic party is a vote for Europe.
