Call for Applications: “VisiBYlity for Belarusian diaspora”

The fellowship programme offers financial support, mentoring and the opportunity to participate in a podcast series and public events. The deadline for applications is Sunday, 17 September 2023.

The VisiBYlity project of the Institute for European Politics (IEP) gives Belarusian activists, civic initiatives and academics in exile the opportunity to advance their (research) projects and increase their visibility.

Contents:

  • A six-month research or project fellowship from October 2023 to March 2024.
  • Regular mentoring by an expert in your field of activity or research
  • Participation in three consultation forums: Workshops and networking opportunities with like-minded researchers, and activists working for a democratic Belarus, as well as with German civil society representatives (two online, one in Berlin in November/December 2023).
  • The opportunity to share your expertise in a podcast series.

Application criteria

The call is open to all members of the Belarusian diaspora who live or have lived in Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania or Poland, support the democratic development of Belarus and work on a topic that falls under the EU objectives of the "Eastern Partnership post-2020".
