In episode 6 of UkraineMEMO we analyse Russia's war of aggression and its consequences for the Ukrainian state and society. We also reflect on how linguistic, cultural and political diversity has contributed to Ukraine's democratic development.

Which indications are there that Putin is committing genocide in Ukraine? How can the Ukrainian resistance be explained? How resilient is Ukrainian democracy and what are the prospects for German-Ukrainian relations?

All these questions we discuss with our guest:

Kateryna Mishchenko is an author, publisher and translator from Kyiv. She is co-founder and editor of the independent Ukrainian publishing house "Medusa" and co-author of the book "Ukrainian Night" with Miron Zownir. Her essays have appeared in international journals and in an anthology on the Euromaidan published by Suhrkamp ("Euromaidan: Was in der Ukraine auf dem Spiel steht", 2014).

Moderator: Ljudmyla Melnyk
