Following the prosecution by the regime in Belarus after the mass protests in 2020, many members of Belarusian civil society left the country. Since the Russian invasion to Ukraine in February 2022 and the collaboration of the Belarusian regime with Russia, their situation has become increasingly difficult.
Which challenges do Belarusian diaspora face at the moment? How connected are different Belarusian diaspora communities? What opportunities and solutions can civil society and policy makers offer them to ensure that the perspective for a democratic Belarus stays viable?
We invite you to discuss these and other questions during our public online event “Visions for a democratic Belarus - Challenges and opportunities of diaspora communities” on 7 December 2022, 2-3.30 pm (CET). Please register below.
