This 98th volume of the IEP publication series was edited by Hartmut Marhold on behalf of the Board of the Institute for European Politics (IEP), with contributions from various authors. These include three former directors, a foreword by our President Werner Hoyer, and companions such as Elmar Brok and Axel Schäfer, both Vice Presidents of the IEP. It was published on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Institute and paints a comprehensive picture of the Institute's history.
Since its foundation 60 years ago on April 25, 1959, the IEP imagines and reimagines Europe and its future. This volume takes stock and reviews the IEP's contributions to international research and communication for politics and civil society, with contributions from all eras and areas of work by 23 authors who have helped to shape and accompany the IEP.
The book is part of the series Europäische Schriften, Volume 98, and is sponsored by the German Federal Foreign Office. The IEP is solely responsible for the contents.
