Young people play a crucial role in Moldova's democratic development. Within the framework of a multi-day EU training program, young Moldovans have engaged in discussions about their country's European integration process.

Participants of the training program that applied from different parts of the country, focused on political dialogue, reforms, and cooperation in foreign and security policy between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. Central to the discussions was an overview of the negotiation process phases and the medium- and long-term integration priorities of the government.

Given the upcoming presidential elections and the referendum on Moldova's future membership in the European Union in October 2024, the country anticipates a wave of disinformation. Therefore, the programme also addressed current disinformation campaigns.

21 young people participated in the training programme held in Chișinău from April 16 to 19, 2024, as part of the NEXT4EU project. They were interested in Moldova's negotiation and accession process to the EU, while also wanting to engage with the current challenges facing the country. Mihail Nesteriuc, a Russian-speaking participant of the training course, later shared his impressions as a guest on the morning show of TV Moldova1. He emphasised the importance of such training and the active involvement of young people in the country's EU integration process.
