This year’s IEP Annual Conference “How can Europe deliver? Democracy, Defence and Competitiveness under Pressure” will provide the opportunity for an academic exchange in light of current European developments in four thematically focused, interdisciplinary panels on the following topics: “Protecting Democracy and Social Cohesion in Europe”, “European Defence in Times of Trumpism: Old Alliances and New Strategic Partnerships”, “Making the EU Fit for the Future: Two-speed Europe and Institutional Reforms” and “The Competitiveness Agenda: Strengthening Europe’s Economies through Global Partnerships”.
