Dr. Ivo Gruev is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Fundamental Rights, Hertie School with a background in comparative constitutional studies and a particular interest in the constitutional protection of fundamental rights in societies transitioning from or into authoritarian rule. He holds a Magister Juris from the University of Oxford and a law degree (1. Staatsexamen) from the Humboldt University in Berlin as well as a DPhil from the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies of the University of Oxford.
