The aim of the forum is to bring together the mostly purely national debates on the future of Europe into an innovative and productive Franco-German and European dialogue outside the governmental level.

Since 1999, the Franco-German Dialogue (DFD) has been an annual discussion forum organised by the ASKO EUROPA-STIFTUNG together with its partners, which include the Institute for European Politics (IEP).

During the event, which lasts several days, German, French and other European multipliers from politics, academia, business, culture and the media debate current and fundamental European challenges.

In this way, the Franco-German Dialogue makes an important contribution to the development of an active European public.

Duration: 01 January 2010 – 31 December 2015
