Civil Dialogues

Citizens talk to experts and politicians in independent, objective and open-ended discussions. The goal is to participate in the European project and to critically and constructively participate in the current discourse.

The interactive, independent and non-partisan series of events facilitates open discussions on current issues of the European Union. The exchange between citizens and decision-makers is being encouraged, and topics such as the Green Deal, digitalisation and Brexit are being widely discussed. The regional reference to European politics is important. Furthermore, experts and decision-makers engage in dialog with citizens to allow them to form their very own impression.

The non-partisan membership association Europa-Union Deuschland e.V. organizes the Citizens' Dialogues together with a large number of partner organizations from all areas of society, including the Institut für Europäische Politik.
