Are you still studying and interested in Eastern Europe? The Ukraine team at the IEP is looking for support in project management, communication and event management. The application deadline is 25 July 2024.

The Institut für Europäische Politik e.V. (IEP) is a non-profit organisation active in the field of European integration and is one of the leading foreign and European policy research institutions in Germany. We work nationally and transnationally at the interface of science, politics, administration and political education.

For the collaboration in various projects on Ukraine, we are looking for a student assistant; 12-15 h/week, starting 16 September 2024. Remuneration is based on the collective agreement for student employees (TV Stud III). The application deadline is 25 July 2024.

Your tasks:

  • Support in the preparation and realisation of project activities, for example workshops, conferences, (online) events
  • Research work on Ukraine and project-specific topics
  • Support in communicating with project participants and assisting them
  • Writing event articles, public relations & social media (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Support in checking receipts and accounting as well as other administrative activities

Your profile:

  • Studies in (East) European Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Communication Studies or related subjects
  • Sound research skills and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with complex issues
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
  • In particular exceptionally good written skills
  • Interest in Ukraine and EU enlargement policy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the common Microsoft Office programmes
  • High degree of independence and flexibility
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian is an advantage
  • Experience with technical moderation of online events via Zoom/Webex is an advantage
  • Creativity and design talent expressly welcome
