7th Ukraine Breakfast Debate: “The EU-Ukraine-Russia Energy Triangle: Nord Stream 2, energy security, and reforms in Ukraine”
We are pleased to invite you to our seventh Ukraine Breakfast Debate on Thursday, 3 May 2018 from 8.30 to 10.45 a.m. on the topic of “The EU-Ukraine-Russia Energy Triangle: Nord Stream 2, energy security, and reforms in Ukraine”.
Olena Pavlenko, Roman Nitsovych and Denys Nazarenko from the Ukrainian think tank DiXi Group and Dr. Kirsten Westphal from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) will discuss the current state of the EU-Ukraine-Russia Energy Triangle. The following questions will be addressed during the debate: What are the key developments within the EU-Ukraine-Russia energy relations since 1991? How does the recent decision by the Stockholm arbitration court affect the Ukrainian-Russian energy relations? What does the construction of Nord Stream 2 imply for Ukraine as a transit country and for Ukraine’s and the EU’s energy security? You can find the interview of our Klartext-series with Olena Pavlenko, director of DiXi Group, on our website (available in German and Ukrainian).
The event is organized within the framework of our project “Platform for Analytics and Intercultural Communication” (PAIC) which aims at promoting professional expertise among Ukrainian think tanks, creating synergies between German and Ukrainian think tanks and transferring knowledge about developments in Ukraine to Germany.
