Study on Strengthening the Democratic Legitimacy of the EU published

In a new study by the IEP, Manuel Müller and Julian Plottka, commissioned by the EU Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, have analyzed the state of democracy at the EU level and make concrete reform proposals to strengthen the democratic legitimacy of the EU. They focus on strengthening parliamentary democracy at the European level, reforming participatory democracy to achieve more citizen involvement, and creating clear responsibilities for economic policy in the eurozone. The full study is available for download under this article. In addition, three policy papers have been published, which are also available for download.
