Handbook on Germany’s European Policy published by the German Federal Agency for Political Education
The Institute for European Policy’s Handbook on Germany’s European Policy is now also available in an edition published by the German Federal Agency for Political Education (bpb). With revised entries and additions which take into account developments having occurred over the course of the last few months, the Handbook delivers an up-to-date, analytical overview of the actors, institutions and processes within Germany’s European policy, its goals and foundations, as well as perspectives regarding development in light of newly emerging challenges both inside and outside of the EU.
In times of multiple crises and growing skepticism regarding Germany’s close interdependence with the EU system, the handbook reaffirms that European policy is of exceptional value and utility for Germany’s political and economic reality and that Germany, precisely because of its importance, has a decisive impact in shaping European integration as well as within the EU’s decision-making processes.
