Manifesto for the Future of Europe and the Related Discussion Papers
On 7 and 8 December 2017, this year’s final conference of the project “Alternative Europa!” took place at the German Architecture Centre (DAZ) in Berlin. The primary aim of the conference has been the discussion of the common manifesto for the future of Europe and the related discussion papers from various ALTEU working groups with representatives of science, politics and civil society.
On the project website of “Alternative Europa!” you are able to find the common manifesto for the future of Europe, which has been compiled by the participants of ALTEU within the past year. Additionally, you will find various discussion papers in which the different ALTEU working groups represent their visions and recommendations for specific policy fields:
- AG Sustainable Economy: ALTEU! Now set the course for the future
- AG European Identity: ALTEU! European Identity
- AG Foreign Policy: ALTEU! EU goes global
- AG Life security: ALTEU! The concept of life safety in Europe
The manifesto, as well as the papers are the result of the project “Alternative Europa!”, which was co-organized by the IEP together with the Junges Europawissenschaftliches Netzwerk (JEN), the Europawissenschaftliches Netzwerks Deutschlands (END) and the EAO, in close cooperation with Polis180 and the Young European Federalists (JEF). Further cooperation partners are the Arbeitskreis Europäische Integration (AEI), the Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE), the Project “TruLies”, the University Hamburg and the University Hildesheim.
