The COVID-19 pandemic has made research more challenging, less accessible and has generally put a financial burden on many researchers. With less means, time and possibilities to engage in extensive research projects, financing research is proving difficult. The aim of the workshop is to bring together on the one hand experts who are working in/on Central Asia, the Southern Caucasus and Eastern Europe in the time of the global pandemic and on the other hand representatives of funding institutions to discuss and elaborate project ideas as well as to explore the possibilities of funding for these or other research projects.

The event is the second workshop within the “Eurasia Lab & Fellowship Program” which is implemented with the support of the Open Society Foundations (OSF). It will take place via the platform “Zoom”. For a  networking session we will switch to the platform “Wonder” which allows for more interactive engagement. The event will be held in English.

Due to the huge interest in the workshop, registrations are unfortunately no longer possible.
