22nd Ukraine Breakfast Debate „Ukraine 30 years after independence: Long term trends and the road ahead”

Since 24 August 2021, Ukraine looks back on 30 formative years of indepen­dence. To mark this momentous occasion, the Kyiv Razumkov Centre and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung have published a study entitled “Ukraine: 30 Years on the European Path”. As part of our 22nd Ukraine Breakfast Debate, that for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic will take place as an on-site physical event, the authors will share key findings of their analy­tical work. More speci­fi­cally, we invite you to discuss the following questions with us:

The 22nd Ukraine Breakfast Debate will take place as an on-site physical event using the German 2G rule (for those vacci­nated and recovered). Please carry the respective confir­mation with you.

Please register by 19 October 2021. The number of seats is limited! After a successful regis­tration and confir­mation, parti­ci­pation is obligatory.

The event is held under Chatham House Rule. By regis­tering, you acknow­ledge that the Chatham House Rule applies.

The 22nd Ukraine Breakfast Debate is organised in close coope­ration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Razumkov Centre. The event takes place within the framework of the joint initiative of the Berlin Ukraine Coordi­nation Circle on the occasion of Ukraine’s 30th Indepen­dence Day.


The Ukraine Breakfast Debates are part of the project “German-Ukrainian Resear­chers Network” (GURN 2). The aim of the project is to strengthen coope­ration between German and Ukrainian think tanks as well as expertise in the field of policy analysis and to promote bilateral dialogue and knowledge transfer. GURN is conducted in coope­ration with the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initia­tives Foundation (DIF, Kyiv), the think tank develo­pment and research initiative think twice UA (Kyiv) as well as the New Europe Center (NEC, Kyiv), and is kindly supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.
